We have limited class sizes. A maximum of ten for Stretch & Strength and a maximum of eight for all other classes.
Ballet
Ballet classes are offered to children from 2 years to adult. Dancers will develop their ballet technique while their love of dance and movement is nurtured. Students will learn the ballet fundamentals and terminology while developing strength, balance, flexibility and confidence.
Tiny Two-Tu’s
This class is designed to introduce and welcome our littlest dancers into the studio setting where they can use their imaginations and develop their love of music and movement in a fun and caring environment. Come along with your Tiny Two-Tu and share in their love of dance! This class is a parent participation class.
Twinkle Tots
This class is for 3-4 year old’s. This class is designed to introduce young dancers into the studio setting where they will be inspired to dance and develop their music and movement. Dancers will learn to follow basic steps and learn dancers terminology. The use of props in an imaginative way allows dancers to move and create and have fun. It’s an experience they will look forward to every week!
Primary Ballet
Primary level is the beginning of a more formal ballet class. Students will learn basic ballet technique while being encouraged to develop their love of music and movement. Class will include ballet exercises, stretching and strengthening, coordination work, skips, gallops, jumps and free dance. It is the perfect balance of training and creative movement to keep these young dancers inspired.
Junior Ballet
Students in this class will be lead through barre work, center, travelling exercises and jumps. Training exercises to develop strength and flexibility will also be taught. Dancers will learn ballet technique, terminology and some history of ballet. Students will develop their love of dance while being taught exercises that will build proper technical foundations.
Intermediate Ballet
This class is for 10-12 year old’s.
Senior Ballet
This class is for 13+ with previous ballet experience.
Teen Ballet
This class is for 12+ with little or no previous ballet experience. Dancers will be lead through a series of exercises at the barre, center, travelling exercises and jumps. Training exercises to develop strength and flexibility will be taught with an emphasis on the love of movement. This is a perfect class for those dancers who have always wanted to try a class and love to move.
Jazz
Our jazz classes are fun and energetic. Jazz classes will include progression of technique including strength, conditioning and progressions including turns, kicks and leaps. All music is age appropriate and dancers will leave wanting more!
Primary Jazz – Ages 5-6 (Level 1 is the beginner level and Level 2 dancers must have prior dance experience)
Junior Jazz – Ages 7-9
Intermediate Jazz – Ages 10-13
Teen Jazz – Ages 13+
Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. These classes are offered to our Senior students.
Stretch and Strength
This class leads dancers through a series of strengthening and stretching exercises. Exercises are demonstrated for the correct body placement, teaching dancers safe stretching. This class is a wonderful way to build strength and develop the correct postural alignment to use throughout all disciplines of dance.
Adult Barre Fit
This class welcomes beginners to those who have trained as dancers. Participants will be lead through a series of barre exercises developed to tone and strengthen the muscles. Floor work and stretching are also a vital part of this class. Come and give this class a try and enjoy the wonderful results!
Seniors Movement and Stretch
Our Seniors Movement and Stretch class is for adults aged 65 plus. This class has been developed for those who love movement and would like a new approach to exercising. Dancers will enjoy time in a positive and encouraging class environment and will leave class feeling wonderful. Come and try a class!
